Tips for best results

Blank lines become paragraphs

A blank line in your .txt creates a paragraph break in the PDF. If your text is one wall of prose, split it into visible paragraphs before converting or the result reads like a continuous scroll.

Save as UTF-8

Special characters (é, 中文, emoji) render correctly only when the file is UTF-8 encoded. Most modern editors default to UTF-8, but older Windows Notepad can still save as ANSI — check Save As → Encoding.

Need styling? Try Markdown instead

Bold, italic, headings, and bullets aren't recognised in plain text. For a styled PDF with minimal effort, write in Markdown and use Markdown → PDF.

Frequently asked questions

What formatting is applied?

Text is set in a clean readable font on A4 pages with standard margins. Blank lines create paragraph spacing.

What encoding should my text file use?

UTF-8 is recommended. Most text editors save in UTF-8 by default.

Can I convert a very long text file?

Yes — long files are automatically paginated across as many pages as needed.

Will my formatting look professional?

The output uses clean, readable typography. For more styled documents, consider using Markdown to PDF instead.

Is there a size limit?

Guests: 10 MB. Free accounts: 25 MB. Pro: 500 MB. Very large text files may take a moment to process.
